GoFundMe Launched For Michael Farace After Fatal Crash On I-15 Near Ranchero Road In Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The family of 36-year-old Michael A. Farace has launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover cremation and memorial expenses after he was killed in a crash on Interstate 15 in Hesperia.
Farace, a resident of Costa Mesa, died in the early morning crash reported at about 4:25 a.m. Saturday, June 20, 2026, on northbound Interstate 15 near Ranchero Road.
According to California Highway Patrol incident logs, a reportedly speeding sedan crashed into the rear of a white bobtail semi-truck. Witnesses also reported the vehicle had been weaving across the roadway prior to the crash.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner Division later identified Farace as the deceased. Coroner records listed the place of death as a dirt shoulder along the freeway.
Following his death, Farace’s family created a fundraiser titled “In Loving Memory of Michael Farace” to help ease the financial burden of cremation and memorial expenses.
“With heavy hearts, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Michael Farace, whose life was tragically cut short in a car accident on Saturday morning,” the organizer wrote on the GoFundMe page.
Farace was remembered by his family as “a bright light in our lives, known for his kindness, sense of humor, and the love he shared with everyone around him.”
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Farace, and his sister, Jasmin Bode, along with many relatives and friends, according to the fundraiser.
The family said donations will help cover cremation and related memorial expenses while supporting Farace’s mother during an especially difficult time.
“Any contribution is deeply appreciated and will help ease the financial burden on Elizabeth,” the organizer wrote.
The fundraiser also invites family and friends to share stories, memories and photos of Farace, which his mother would like to see. Plans for a memorial service will be shared with loved ones at a later date, according to the page.
Those who would like to support the family can donate through the GoFundMe campaign, “In Loving Memory of Michael Farace.”
