GoFundMe Launched For Family Of Tedi Wilson And Her Two Children Killed In Apple Valley Crash

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to support a family devastated by the three-vehicle crash that claimed the lives of a mother and her two young children last week in Apple Valley.

The fundraiser, titled “Honoring Tedi, Rosie, and Felix’s Memory,” was created by Veronica Valenzuela on behalf of the family following the July 29 collision at the intersection of Apple Valley Road and Yucca Loma Road.

According to the GoFundMe organizer, the crash claimed the lives of Tedi, described as “a loving mother,” her 7-year-old daughter Rosie, and her 6-year-old son Felix.

“Our family is experiencing one of the most difficult times we’ve ever faced,” Valenzuela wrote. “We are asking for your support as we navigate an unexpected tragedy that has left us grieving while also praying for healing.”

Valenzuela described Tedi Wilson as “so loved by her friends, family and the community.” She worked as a registered nurse and served as the director of Labor and Delivery at Desert Valley Hospital.

According to a written statement from the Apple Valley Police Department, the preliminary investigation determined the driver of a 2015 Dodge Caravan was traveling northbound on Apple Valley Road and failed to stop for a red traffic signal at the intersection with Yucca Loma Road.

The Dodge collided broadside with a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan carrying the victims before the impact pushed the Tiguan into a 2019 Toyota Highlander traveling eastbound.

The Apple Valley Police Department said three passengers inside the Volkswagen Tiguan were pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional occupants of the Tiguan sustained major injuries and were transported to a local hospital, while the driver of the Dodge Caravan also suffered major injuries. The driver of the Toyota Highlander was evaluated and treated at the scene.

VVNG has learned the surviving occupants of the Volkswagen Tiguan are Wilson’s husband, Felix, who was driving the vehicle, and the couple’s daughter. Both suffered critical injuries in the collision and face a long road to recovery.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team (M.A.I.T.) is investigating the collision. According to the department, drugs or alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The fundraiser states that donations will help cover funeral and memorial expenses while easing the financial burden on the family during an unimaginable time of grief.

“Any contribution, no matter the amount, will go toward funeral and memorial expenses, as well as helping ease the financial burden during this incredibly difficult time,” Valenzuela wrote. “If you are unable to donate, we kindly ask that you keep our family in your thoughts and prayers and share this fundraiser with others.”
