GoFundMe Launched for Danielle “Lucka” Fernandez After Fatal Fall From Moving Vehicle in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to help cover funeral expenses for 19-year-old Danielle E. Fernandez, an Adelanto resident who died after falling from a moving vehicle early Monday morning in Victorville.
The incident occurred on March 9, 2026, at about 1:20 a.m. on Hesperia Road near Verde Street.
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jenny L. Smith, deputies responded to the area for an initial report of a vehicle that had collided with a pedestrian. When deputies arrived, they found a 19-year-old woman lying in the roadway who had fallen from a moving vehicle. No other vehicles were involved.
Life-saving measures were performed at the scene, but the woman was pronounced deceased. The San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office later identified her as Danielle E. Fernandez of Adelanto.

The roadway in the area was closed for several hours while deputies conducted their investigation.
In the days following her death, Fernandez’s family launched a fundraiser titled “Help Honor Danielle “LUCKA”” to help with funeral expenses and memorial arrangements. The campaign was created by The Fernandez family.
In the fundraiser description, the organizer wrote, “On March 9, my world changed forever when my daughter Lucka tragically fell out of a moving vehicle in the early morning hours. The loss is unimaginable, and I am reaching out for support during this incredibly difficult time.”

The campaign describes Fernandez as someone who brought joy and kindness to those around her.
“Lucka was a loving and caring person with a big heart. She brought joy to everyone around her, always laughing, joking, and sharing her warmth,” the organizer wrote. “She loved playing her drums and connecting with people—her kindness touched everyone she met, and anyone who knew her loved her back.”
According to the fundraiser, Fernandez was also known in the local community for her creative work.

“Lucka was also a talented local photographer for shows, capturing special moments for others and sharing her creative spirit with the community,” the organizer wrote.
The fundraiser states the family is seeking help to give Fernandez a proper farewell.
“Right now, I am asking for help with funeral expenses so we can honor Lucka’s memory and give her the farewell she deserves. Any support, whether through donations or sharing this fundraiser, means the world to our family,” the organizer wrote.
