Girl, 14, walking to school killed by hit-and-run driver in San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities are searching for a driver that left a 14-year-old girl dead in the street following a hit-and-run crash Friday morning.
It happened around 7:10 am, at the intersection of Pacific Street and Glasgow Avenue in San Bernardino.
The victim, Jade Maldonado, a resident of San Bernardino, was struck and killed by an eastbound SUV while walking in the cross walk on her way to school, officials said.
The SUV, described as a tan 2000 to 2004 GMC with front end damage fled the scene of the accident. Witnesses said the driver was a female who shouted ‘Oh my God’ and sped off.
Jade was transported to Loma Linda University Medical center where she was pronounced dead at 1:26 pm, according to the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office.
