
HELENDALE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Elias Waw, 39, a resident of Victorville is accused of operating an illegal gambling ring in Helendale, officials said.
Officials say they seized several computers with illegal gambling games from his business on Tuesday, August 15th.
At about 3:00 p.m., detectives and deputies from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station served a search warrant in the 26000 block of National Trails Highway in Helendale.
“Investigators contacted a female employee at the business, however, the owner, Elias Waw, was not at the location,” stated a sheriff’s news release.
Authorities said several computers inside the business were being used for illegal gambling and displayed several Las Vegas type gambling games which customers had access to.
“No arrests have been made at this time and the investigation is ongoing,” stated the release.
