Friday night traffic nightmare continues on NB I-15

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A combination of holiday traffic and raging fires that prompted multiple freeway closures around Southern California created a traffic nightmare on the I-15 freeway Friday.
Traffic remained jammed for most of the day and got even worse into the evening commute.
Motorists making their way back home to the Victor Valley are reporting delays of 3-5 hours from the Ontario/Rancho area.
There have been MANY minor accidents reported along the I-15 along the Cajon Pass throughout the day.
Highway 138 going towards Wrightwood has also experienced gridlock traffic for most of the day.
Columbus Day is on Monday, October 14, 2019. The holiday gave many people a three day weekend and an opportunity to travel somewhere.
