Freeze Warning: Bring Your Pets Indoors

VICTOR VALLEY Calif.(VVNG.com)– The US National Weather Service has issued a freeze warning for the Victor Valley from midnight tonight to 8:00 a.m. Sunday.
With a cold dry atmosphere and clear skies, temperatures will fall tonight into early Sunday morning. Temperatures are expected to dip into the low 20’s and 30’s in wind-sheltered locations, according to the NWS.
This will bring frost to regions that haven’t previously seen widespread frost this season. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
Consider covering any cold sensitive plants, and make sure your pets have a warm place for the night.
Although pets have varying tolerance to cold temperatures depending on age, health, body weight and activity caution should be exercised with pet allowing them to be indoors. Pets, despite their fur covered bodies, are susceptible to frostbite, hypothermia, and complications to other preexisting conditions such as arthritis.
