VICTORVILLE, Calif. – Hundreds of Victor Valley residents and families in the surrounding Inland Empire communities are invited to benefit, free of charge, from the 250 flu vaccinations, 500 grocery bags and medical services offered to the community on Saturday, January 13 at the San Bernardino County Fairgrounds.
Available to the community are free winter clothes, children’s backpacks and school supplies, medical services, nonperishable goods, catered hot breakfast and lunch and family games hosted by hundreds of volunteers from all over California from the international religious entity Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC or Church Of Christ).
Free transportation to the venue will also be given to residents of the High Desert Homeless Services shelter at 8:30 AM. The outreach event, an extension of the INC’s global commitment to share faith through acts of kindness, begins with a brief Bible study followed by the free distribution of goods.
“We know it is a duty to provide not only spiritual needs, but assistance for our neighbors in any manner possible,” said Ramil Regino, District Minister of the Southeast California and Central America INC congregations. “Much emphasis is placed on the Church’s outreach and socio-civic activities, which seek to benefit the less fortunate communities internationally who need help.”
