Frank Harold Wright Identified As Homeless Man Killed At Old Bus Shelter Near Victorville Costco; No Arrests Made

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The 61-year-old homeless man killed near the Costco in Victorville earlier this week has been identified as Frank Harold Wright, and no arrests have been made in connection with his death.

Wright was found with traumatic injuries at an old bus shelter in the 14600 block of Valley Center Drive on Tuesday, Aug. 18, 2026.

The location is near Costco and across from Valley Hi Kia. Wright was a familiar presence in the area and was frequently seen near the corner by the Costco gas station, where he would often hold a sign asking passing motorists and shoppers for help.

Deputies arrived and discovered Wright suffering from traumatic injuries. They began CPR until emergency medical personnel arrived and pronounced him deceased.
