HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com)- A former Victor Valley dance instructor and school proctor was convicted of multiple counts of child sexual assault involving a 13-year-old student, authorities said.
Thomas Cook, 24, from Hesperia, was arrested on February 7, 2015, after he was accused of being involved in an inappropriate relationship with a child.
At the time of his arrest, Cook was a proctor at Topaz Preparatory Academy and a dance instructor at Dance Dynamics in Hesperia and Upland.

San Bernardino County District Attorney Deputy Sheila Monjazeb prosecuted Thomas Cook on February 15, 2017. Cook is now facing 11 years and 4 months in state prison and a lifetime sex offender registration.
According to public court records, Cook is expected to appear in court on March 24, 2017, at 8:30 a.m. He is currently being held in lieu of $250,000 bail.
