Firefighters Respond to House Fire in Phelan

PHELAN:(VVNG.com)- Firefighters were dispatched to a residential fire on the 5200 block of Mono Road cross of Campanula Road in Phelan.
Per scanner traffic, a bedroom is confirmed to be on fire. the fire was reported just after 6:00 P.M., on Thursday, August 6, 2015.
Based on initial reports, the single story home is approximately 1,200 square feet and heavy smoke is showing from the residence.
As of 6:18 P.M., the fire was knocked down and under control. Firefighters will conduct a primary and secondary search of the residence.
Firefighters will have about 1-2 hours of “heavy mop-up” on the structure.
One patient was transported for complaint of chest pain. Animal control was requested to respond for a total of three deceased dogs found inside the residence.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
