Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Vegetation Fire

VICTORVILLE:(VVNG.com)- On Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at about 11:40 P.M., San Bernardino County firefighters were dispatched to a vegetation fire in the area of Cottonwood Avenue and Mariposa Road.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a 1/4 acre fire burning in a field near Scandia with medium fuel. Incoming units could see smoke from the La Mesa bridge.
Per scanner traffic, the fire was out by 11:50 P.M., and the additional units responding were cancelled.
At this time the cause of the fire is unknown. More information will be updated as it becomes available.
