VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): San Bernardino County Fire personnel was dispatched to a river bottom fire near the 15 freeway and Stoddard Wells Road on Sunday, December 13th at about 12:35 p.m.
A total of sixteen firefighters responded to the “heavy fuel” half-acre blaze. Fire officials said that dry and heavy brush along with the winds fueled the fire making it more difficult to extinguish.
By 12:55 p.m. the fire was fully extinguished, but crew remained on scene to check for hot spots and to clean up the scene. At this time the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
