Firefighters extinguish trashcan fire burning under a carport in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District responded to a residential fire Friday morning.
It happened on September 20, 2019, at about 5:38 am in the 19400 block of Roanoke Road in Apple Valley.
Scanner traffic reported a trashcan fire burning underneath a carport against the house.
Batallion Chief Larry Soper said firefighters arrived and found a plastic trashcan on fire that caused minor damage to the house.
Soper said no injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
