Firefighters battle blaze at apartment complex in Adelanto Monday night

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — San Bernardino County Fire responded to an apartment structure fire in Adelanto Monday night.
At about 8:45 pm, fire crews responded to the Raintree Gardens Apartments in the 18100 block of Bellflower Street reference a first-alarm fire at a heavily occupied multi-unit apartment complex in Adelanto.
Upon arrival, firefighters located fire in a storage room stair-well with extension into the roof prompting an offensive attack on the fire.
As a precaution, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted with evacuating residents living in apartments adjacent to the fire.
At about 9:00 pm, firefighters battling the blaze reported the fire had been knocked down in a 10×10 room with extension into the attic. Firewalls on both sides aided firefighters in knocking down the fire, scanner traffic reported.
The utility companies and a SBC Fire investigator have been requested to the scene.
No injuries have been reported and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
