Fire crews battle brush fire along highway 395 in Victorville

UPDATE @ 2:30 PM – The fire was contained at a total of 2.6 acres. Eucalyptus Street is shut down west of US395.
VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Firefighters are on scene of a 1-2 acre brush fire burning along US Highway 395 in Victorville.
At about 1:35 pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, Victorville City firefighters were dispatched to reports of a fire in the area of Eucalyptus Street and US-395.
Firefighters arrived on scene and determined they had a 1-2 acre brush fire burning in a field with a moderate right of spread.
At 2:00 pm firefighters requested sheriff’s officials shut down the south bound no. 2 lane on Highway 395, radio traffic reported.
A full CalFire response has been added to the assignment dubbed the ‘highway incident’.
The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
