Fire Chief’s Son Dawson Hartwig Found Dead in Lake Arrowhead

LAKE ARROWHEAD, Calif. (VVNG.com) The body of missing 20-year-old Dawson Hartwig was located by dive teams members early Sunday morning.
Dawson is the son of Mark Hartwig, a member of the San Bernardino County Fire Department.
Dawson was reported missing on Saturday at 10:44 a.m. after failing to return to his cabin. Friends of Dawson contacted Twin Peaks Sheriff’s Station and advised deputies Dawson left for a walk Friday afternoon and failed to return.
Deputies began a search with more than 70 San Bernardino Sheriff’s deputies, Sheriff’s aviation, K9’s, Search and Rescue volunteers and a dive team.
“Midnight, dive team, assisted by SBCoFD, checked area near a dock. The critical missing was found in 30 of water. [Victim] was recovered,” Lieutenant Doug Wolf tweeted.
