Fiery Thursday night crash briefly shuts down Highway 18 in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A fiery Thursday night crash briefly shut down State Highway 18 in Apple Valley.
On August 29, 2019, At about 8:44 pm a pickup truck and a sedan collided on the highway near Tao Road in Apple Valley.
The impact caused the Nissan sedan to erupt into flames. Firefighters from the Apple Valley Fire Protection District arrived and quickly extinguished the fire.
The driver of the vehicle was transported to Victor Valley Global Medical Center to be checked out.
No injuries were reported as a result of the crash.
Eastbound traffic on Highway 18 was temporarily detoured as officials cleared the roadway.
