FedEx van catches fire on NB-15 in the cajon pass

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Firefighters are responding to a vehicle fire in the Cajon Pass involving a FedEx truck.
The fire was reported at 10:10 am on the northbound I-15, north of Kenwood Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol incident logs, the driver was out of the vehicle and a safe distance from the burning truck.
Scanner traffic reported the fire had spread to the nearby vegetation.
Motorists are reporting a huge column of black smoke billowing from the fire.
Firefighters are on scene and have shut down the no. 4 and 5 lanes while they work on getting the fire put out.
