
Update : 6/5/13 – The driver of the Kia was identified as Cheryl Crawford, a 57 year-old resident of Victorville per a Coroners official release. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the collision.
A traffic collision left one person dead and five more injured in a two-vehicle collision that occurred at the intersection of Stoddard Wells Road and Dale Evans Parkway on Monday afternoon at about 3:15 p.m.
According to witnesses, a Kia sedan was driving eastbound on Stoddard Wells road and attempted to cross through the intersection but failed to make a stop. That’s when the Kia collided with a Ford Taurus traveling southbound on Dale Evans Parkway.
The impact caused the Kia to roll over and land on it’s roof. The unidentified driver believed to be a female and the sole occupant was pronounced dead on arrival. No information on the deceased has been released.
Three of the occupants of the Ford Taurus were taken to local area hospitals via ground ambulance. Another unidentified occupant was also airlifted out to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and the 5th occupant of the Taurus had minor injuries but refused medical attention.
