UPDATE 4/30/15 @ 8:00 AM – According to the San Bernardino Coroners Department, the deceased is a 30-year-old male, possibly from Barstow.
LUCERNE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- 911 dispatch received a report of a traffic collision involving a motorcycle vs a vehicle on California State Route 247 at Mile Marker 57.
The incident was reported at 8:58 P.M., on Wednesday, April 29, 2015.
Through the investigation it was determined the motorcyclist was traveling southbound on SR-247 on a Yamaha motorcycle and collided with a northbound 2001 Ford Mustang.
Per CHP incident logs, the motorcyclist was not breathing due to a head injury. The incident was later changed to a fatality.
The identity of the deceased will be released pending notification of next of kin. Please check back later as more information becomes available.
The California Highway Patrol Barstow Station is investigating the incident.
