Fatal crash shuts down Bear Valley Road in Apple Valley

APPLE VALLEY, Calif. (VVNG.com) — One person was killed and another injured in a traffic collision on Super Bowl Sunday in Apple Valley.
At about 7:30 pm, a silver sedan and a red pick-up truck were involved in a crash on Bear Valley and Joshua Roads.
Apple Valley Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the crash and pronounced the driver of the sedan deceased and their passenger with minor injuries.
The driver of the truck was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Bear Valley Road will be closed between Central Road and Highway 18 while the Apple Valley Sheriff’s Major Accident Investigation Team conducts the investigation.
