Family seeks to raise money for mother of 4 killed in Victorville crash

VICTORVILLE, Calif. ( — The family of 48-year-old Laura Garcia is pleading for help in raising funds after the mother of four was killed in a crash Sept. 5.

The crash happened in front of Brentwood Elementary School on Thursday just before students were to be released.

Garcia was driving home from the grocery store when she was struck by a 2005 black Jeep Cherokee that crossed over into opposing traffic on Hook Blvd, striking Garcia’s tan colored 2002 Lexus.

Garcia was pronounced deceased on scene.

“She’s leaving behind 4 of her amazing children; 20,19,12 & 7 & a loving husband. We are all mourning the loss of this special woman,” commented the organizer of the GoFundMe, Sally Sanchez.

So far, the fundraiser has raised $2,073 from 63 people.

“Anything can help toward funding this angels funeral. Thank you so much, God Bless,” this organizer wrote.
