APPLE VALLEY:(VVNG.com)- A local family is searching frantically for their 14-year-old son who ran away from home. They’ve turned to social media for help and have even decided to offer a small reward for any information leading to his whereabouts.

Joel James Valenzuela also known as “JoJo” was last seen by his family on Friday, June 19, 2015 at approximately 1:00 P.M., near the Apple Valley airport.

According to Velenzuela’s family, Joel is described as a Hispanic Juvenile, 5’5″, 130 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has clear braces, and sometimes wears glasses.

Family believes Joel ran away after he took his parents vehicle out for a joy ride. Thinking they would be upset with him, he decided to leave. Joel’s parents want him to know they are not upset with him, he is not in trouble and all they want is to have their baby boy back home safely.

Several sightings of Joel have recently been reported near Highway 18 and Dale Evans Parkway in Apple Valley.

If you have any information on his whereabouts please contact Apple Valley Police at 760-240-7400 or 760-403-5960.
