UPDATE: The family has relayed new information concerning their missing dog. It has been reported that the dog’s collar was discovered by the side of the road at the intersection of Palmdale road and the 15 freeway, which aligns with accounts from witnesses who claim the dog was struck by a vehicle in that vicinity.

VICTORVILLE, CALIF. (VVNG.com) – A local family is asking the community for assistance after a crash resulted in their dog being ejected from the vehicle and lost.

Angela Buck reached out to Victor Valley News, Tuesday, February 27, 2024, with details of the accident in an effort to locate their missing pet.

The incident occurred early in the morning at approximately 5:50 am on Mariposa Road, near the Mariposa Inn at 13409 Mariposa Rd.

Angela said a BMW ran a stop sign while turning left and collided with their car. The impact was significant enough to cause their vehicle to overturn several times, leading to the ejection of their beloved dog.

Buck said that after the crash, a bystander observed the dog running toward Green Tree Blvd.

Despite the traumatic event, Angela and her son, who were both in the car at the time, were taken to the emergency room and found to have sustained no major injuries except for bruising and soreness.

The Buck family has circulated pictures of the accident and their dog, hoping that community members might recognize the pet and assist in its safe return.

They say that their “top priority is to find our baby,” expressing how much the dog means to their family.

The Buck family said they would appreciate the community’s support in sharing the images and keeping an eye out for their lost canine companion.

They hold onto hope that with the help of Victorville’s residents, they can be reunited with their dog soon.
