Family raising funds to cover funeral costs for pedestrian killed on Highway 395 in Adelanto

ADELANTO, Calif. ( Rosales, 25, was struck and killed by a vehicle on U.S. Highway 395 in Adelanto, his grieving loved ones launched a GoFundMe to raise money for a funeral service.

The incident occurred on the evening of Sunday, February 11, 2024, near the intersection of U.S. Highway 395 and Cactus Rd.

The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department reported to the scene at 10:18 pm, only to discover that Rosales had suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene just minutes later, at 10:22 pm.

On a GoFundMe page, Rosa, Rigoberto Rosales’ sister wrote:

“My Family and I Are Seeking Help To Raise Funds To Cover My Brother’s Funeral Service,” she wrote. The tragedy struck the Rosales family unexpectedly, leaving them unprepared both emotionally and financially.

Rigoberto is remembered as a vibrant individual who loved being outdoors, he was particularly fond of spending quality time with his daughter Meilani and other young members of the family.

Described by his sister as “always full of joy even if he had rainy days,” he had an infectious sense of humor and a passion for music and the color red.

His family says he was not only an enthusiastic father but also a supportive brother and a resilient son. “Our Mother Is Devastated From Seeing You Everyday To Not Seeing You At All,” Rosa shared on the fundraising page.

In addition to the GoFundMe, the family is seeking fundraising by generating funds through homemade desserts, custom tumblers, and food sales to honor Rigo’s memory.

The GoFundMe initiative details their determination: “We Would Love To Give Him A Beautiful Ceremony He Deserves. With All Your Help I Know We Can.”
