APPLE VALLEY– (VVNG.com): The family of an Apple Valley man is inviting the public to join them on Saturday evening to honor the memory of Navy veteran, Felix Frank Rivera.
Rivera lost his life on January 29th after attempting to cross the very busy, 60 mile per hour, Highway 18. Soon after stepping into the busy highway, Rivera was struck by not one, but two vehicles. Both drivers remained on the scene, but Rivera was pronounced dead at the scene.
The family has a memorial planned for 4:00 p.m. on Saturday on Highway 18 near Bass Hill Road. They are asking that those who attend bring a candle. The family is still in need of help with expenses associated with this tragic loss and to help their mother who now must carry the emotional and financial burden of living without her husband.
