VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A pedestrian struck and killed on the 15 freeway in Victorville was identified by family as Clifton Pleasant.
It happened on Tuesday, July 2, 2019, at approximately 3:39 am, 911 received reports of a pedestrian that was struck by a vehicle on the I-15 southbound, north of Palmdale Road.
California Highway Patrol officers from the Victorville CHP station responded and located a deceased male lying in the roadway.
According to a CHP news release, the pedestrian ran from the west shoulder of the SB I-15 towards the center median when he was struck in the no.1 lane by a 2018 Mazda 3 being driven by a 37-year-old woman from Apple Valley.
First responders arrived and pronounced the male pedestrian deceased at the scene. The man was later identified by family as Clifton Pleasant.

“Cliff was loved by so many and was always willing to help anyone in need, always the life of the party. He was a devoted father, loving son, amazing brother and always the fun uncle. He helped carry on the family business of sausage making and was a successful business owner.”
