VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Authorities arrested Rhonda Scheidt, 57, of Victorville for attempted murder after she stabbed her ex-husband, officials said.
It happened on June 17, 2018, responded to the Greenbriar Mobile Home Park in the 14400 block of Palmdale Road in Victorville reference a stabbing. The reporting party told dispatch the victim was seen walking down the street and bleeding profusely from his arm.
The victim, Timothy Gould, 49, of Victorville sustained “life threatening” injuries and was flown to a nearby trauma center for treatment.
Through investigation, deputies determined the victim had been in an argument with his ex-wife, Rhonda Scheidt, and she stabbed him in the upper arm and fled the location.
“Deputies obtained a search warrant for the residence Scheidt and Gould shared and the stabbing took place. They were able to recover evidence from the home, leading to an arrest warrant to be issued for Scheidt,” stated a sheriff’s news release.
On June 18, 2018, Deputy R. Ripley located Scheidt at a residence near the incident location. During his contact with her, Ripley recovered the weapon used in the stabbing. Scheidt was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for attempted murder.
