VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) An elderly woman suffered minor injuries when she was struck by a car while jaywalking in Victorville, authorities said.
The woman was hit around 4:50 p.m. Monday as she walked west across La Paz Drive towards a McDonalds. She was not in a crosswalk.
Officials said the driver of the 2005 Chevy Malibu car didn’t have a valid driver’s license, but remained on the scene and was cooperative. His vehicle was towed away.
Alcohol, drugs, and excessive speed are not considered factors in the crash.
The pedestrian was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
