El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant in Victorville recognized as small business of the month by Assemblyman Obernolte

VICTORVILLE – Assemblyman Jay Obernolte (R-Hesperia) has honored El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant in Victorville as the Outstanding Small Business of the Month in the 33rd Assembly District.

The owners, Marisol Rivas and Rafael Cardenas, opened El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant in July of 2015.

After moving to the High Desert in 2008, Marisol made and sold pupusas, a traditional El Salvadorian dish, out of her home. However, it was her mother’s dream that Marisol open a restaurant. With the success of selling pupusas and her mother’s encouragement, Marisol gained the confidence to pursue that goal.

With hard work and determination, that dream became a reality and now she and her husband run a successful small business with seven employees.

“The story of how this restaurant began is truly inspirational. It proves that when you put your mind to something, there’s no telling what you can achieve,” Assemblyman Obernolte said. “Besides running a successful restaurant, Marisol and Rafael also can be proud of what they contribute to the High Desert community. They not only feed the homeless but also volunteer with local churches to help those in need. It is a pleasure to recognize El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant as my Small Business of the Month.”

El Salvador Del Mundo Restaurant is located at 15329 Palmdale Road in Victorville.
