Eight Arrested For Operating a Chop Shop in San Bernardino

SAN BERNARDINO:(VVNG.com)- Eight suspects were arrested at a residence in San Bernardino for maintaining a Chop Shop, possession of stolen property, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Some of the subjects were discovered to be active gang members on active parole and probation for felony crimes.

Additionally, a total of two stolen Hondas and one Nissan truck were recovered at the residence stripped. Numerous vehicle parts were also located throughout the property scattered on the ground.

According to a news release, on Thursday, September 18, 2014, at approximately 9:37 a.m., deputies from the Central Station S.M.A.S.H. Team drove to 201 E. 11th St. in the City of San Bernardino to drop off a bicycle belonging to Ryan who had been arrested for possessing a concealed weapon.

Upon arrival, they came in contact with 25-year-old Ruben Toledo and 24-year-old Alberto Hernandez in the process of stripping a stolen Honda Civic that had been taken earlier that day in front of their residence. They were detained along with Terry Ryan 53, Tanaeja Minnifield 20, Charles King 47, Martha Quesada 33, Zacarias Ruiz 27, Myra Hernandez 20, all residents of San Bernardino.

Residents are encouraged to be active in neighborhood watch programs and call the police when they notice suspicious activity at houses involving similar circumstances.
