Drunk Man Attempts To Drive Around Pilot Fire Road Closure

APPLE VALLEY, Calif: (VVNG.com)- A 37-year-old man driving a stolen vehicle while under the influence was arrested for attempting to drive around a Pilot Fire road closure.
On Wednesday, August 10th, Mario Lopez, a resident of San Bernardino attempted to drive his black Cadillac around a road closure at Deep Creek Road and Rock Springs Road, in an unincorporated area of Apple Valley.
Deputies made contact with Lopez and he was found to be under the influence of alcohol. While doing a records check of the vehicle, deputies found that the vehicle had been reported stolen.
Lopez also had an active no bail warrant for a probation violation.
Mario Lopez was arrested, transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for possession of stolen property and no bail warrant for probation violation.
