Drivers killed in head-on crash on Highway 395 in Adelanto identified

ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — The two men who died in a head-on collision on U.S. Highway 395 Friday night have been identified by the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

Mark Anthony Snow, 35, of Helendale and Adam Bedro West, 59, of Los Alamitos died after their vehicles collided on Highway 395, just south of Shadow Mountain Road within the Adelanto city boundary.

According to the Coroner’s office, West was the driver of a Cadillac SUV that was traveling southbound on US 395 when he crossed over a double yellow line into oncoming traffic and struck a northbound Toyota sedan driven by Snow.

Paramedics responded and pronounced both men deceased on scene.

Reach helicopter H-325 and CHP helicopter H-80 landed on the highway to airlift two female passengers, one from each vehicle, to out of area trauma centers with major injuries.

The Adelanto Major Accident Investigation Team (MAIT) is investigating the circumstances of the collision.
