Driver killed on 15 Freeway ID’d as Wildomar man, 45

CAJON PASS, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Coroner officials identified the man killed Thursday night on Interstate 15 as Jason Daniel LaFountain, 45 of Wildomar.
LaFountain was driving a white Ford F-150 pickup truck northbound when he collided with a turquoise colored 53-foot tractor-trailer just south of Highway 138 just before 8 p.m.
San Bernardino County Firefighters worked to free LaFountain from the wreckage, but despite life-saving measures, he died at the scene.
A passenger from the semi was treated for minor injuries.
The San Bernardino CHP Office is investigating the crash.
