ADELANTO, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A violent crash left the driver in critical condition and the vehicle nearly unrecognizable early Tuesday morning in Adelanto.
It happened at about 4:30 a.m., on October 24, 2023, on Barcelona Avenue and Koala Road.
Bianca Fair was driving on her way to work when she came up on the accident involving the BMW sedan. Bianca pulled over and said a family that lives nearby ran outside after hearing the crash and informed her that a male was trapped inside the car.
According to Bianca, when she looked inside the vehicle the driver’s head was underneath his shoulders and he was not wearing a seatbelt. “I held him up just enough so he could breathe and that’s when the deputy came and helped push him up even further,” stated Bianca.
San Bernardino County Fire Medic Engine 321 responded to the incident and requested an airship to land at the fire station on Rancho Road. The driver was airlifted via Reach 13 to an out-of-area trauma center, an update on his condition was not available.
The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Adelanto Sheriff’s Station. VVNG reached out to the public information officer requesting additional information, however, an update had not yet been provided.
