Don’t Write a Check Your [blank] Can’t Cash

VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): On Wednesday, January 28th between 1:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. a vehicle burglary took place in the area of Bellflower Street and Goss Road.
The victim, a female hairdresser left her appointment book inside her vehicle, which had cash and undeposited checks inside. She called to report the crime to the San Bernardino County Sheriff, that arrived on scene to take a report of the incident.
“When I found out everything had been taken, I called my clients that write checks and asked them to put stop payments on the checks,” said Bobbie Rae Russo.
One of Russo’s clients called back and said the check she wrote to her was already cashed. The client had not put her name on it, the “pay to the order of,” was left blank. Russo said she was not the only victim of a vehicle break in that morning, “So far I know of one other vehicle that was broken into the same night/morning.”
Russo received an image of the check written to her with a name filled in to cash it. Her and her neighbors would like anyone that knows who this person or where he is to call the Victorville Police Department at: (760) 241-2911.
