Dog Attacks Two Children Walking to School in the Mesa Linda Area

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A dog attacked two children walking to school Thursday morning in the City of Victorville.

It happened on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at approximately 7:02 a.m. in the 13800 Block of Mesa Linda Avenue, near Mesa Linda Middle School.

Deputies from the Victorville Police Station were dispatched to a call for service about a child that a dog bit.

Upon arrival, deputies learned that an unknown dog bit two children as they were walking to school.

Sheriff’s officials said that one child was able to run to safety, while a 7-year-old female suffered multiple injuries.

“A citizen that lives in the area ran outside and helped the child which eventually led to the dog fleeing,” stated sheriff’s officials.

The child was transported by American Medical Response to  Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. 

Animal Control was requested to respond to the area and at this time additional details including a description were unavailable at the time of this article.
