SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. ( — The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office is expected hold a press conference later this morning addressing offensive social media posts made by Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem.

“District Attorney Mike Ramos will be releasing a statement today regarding the discriminatory comments posted online by a San Bernardino County prosecutor,”  a Tweet from the SB District Attorney’s office said.

Selyem, 50,  a 12 year veteran of the Office and lead gang prosecutor for San Bernardino County, stirred up controversy and prompted members of the community to rally behind a call for his dismissal after several of his posts, which have since been deleted along with his social media accounts, were captured in screenshots and shared with members of the media.

In those posts, Selyem targeted former First Lady Michelle Obama, U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters, and went on to mock Mexican Immigrants using his Facebook and Instagram accounts.

“Being a loud-mouth c–t in the ghetto you would think someone would have shot this b—h by now,” Selyem said about Waters, according to a San Bernardino Sun article.

He went on to say, “I am all for white males immigrating here legally and starting a business. It is the terrorists a–holes sneaking in here wanting to kill me an (SIC) my family that I’m opposed to.”

According to the paper, Selyem posts didn’t stop there. He went on to post an image of a man wearing a sombrero along with “Mexican word of the day: Hide,” according to the paper.

“The many violently racist, sexist, and xenophobic comments of deputy district attorney Michael Selyem are incompatible with his position. He must be fired, immediately, & prosecuted for his death threat against a US Congressperson. And all his cases must be reviewed for bias,(SIC)” said Shiloh Strawbridge in response to the tweet made by the District Attorney’s Office that acknowledged the allegations.

In an online argument, Selyem makes a disturbing reference to a civilian was shot by law enforcement saying, “That s—bag got exactly what he deserved. … You reap what you sow. And by the way go f— yourself you liberal s—bag,” the paper wrote.

The press conference will be held by District Attorney Mike Ramos at 11:30 A.M.
