VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): At approximately 12:30 p.m., on Sunday, May 17th, a deputy was driving with his lights and sirens on responding to a call. As he headed northbound on Hesperia Road approaching Nisqualli Road, a black Toyota Corolla driving in the same direction failed to yield to the lights and sirens.

The deputy attempted to get around the vehicle and into the #1 lane of opposing traffic. The driver of the Toyota, at the same time, drove into the center divider to make a left hand turn into the AMPM.
The two vehicle collided, causing damage to the passenger side of the patrol vehicle and the driver’s side of the Toyota Corolla.
Minor injuries were reported as a result of the collision, the driver of the Toyota was transported for the complaint of pain.
