VICTORVILLE-(VVNG.com): Victorville station deputies are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect responsible for a Tuesday morning burglary. At about 4:28 a.m. deputies responded to a report of a vehicle burglary in progress on the 14000 block of Painted Pony Court.
When the victim’s saw the suspects removing items from his vehicle they jumped into a tan Toyota Camry, and fled the scene. A deputy located and followed the vehicle. The driver, while attempting to flee crashed into a fence near Palmdale and Borego Roads.
The driver quickly fled on foot, while his accomplice, 37-year-old Victorville resident Gerald Montfleury was arrested. The driver was later identified as 28-year-old Victorville resident, Phil Garcia.
Deputies searched the vehicle locating property belonging to the victim. Garcia, who is described as a black male, 5’5”, 230 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes is still at large.
Montfleury was booked at the High Desert Detention Center for Vehicle Burglary and an outstanding narcotics warrant. According to inmate records, Montfleury was released from custody on Tuesday morning at 10:55 a.m. and has no court dates scheduled at this time.
