VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) Deputies with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department were investigating a shooting Tuesday afternoon.
It happened at around 4:00 p.m. when witnesses say they heard arguing followed by several gunshots on the 14200 block of Borego Road, outside the Casa Del Sol Apartments.
According to Sheriff’s officials, several shell casings were located. Despite witnesses reporting that one person was shot, deputies were unable to locate a victim or suspect.
An innocent bystander had nearly missed getting hit by a bullet, instead, the can he was holding in his hand was shot, officials said.
The area was taped off as authorities gathered evidence. Multiple evidence markers were placed where shell casings were fell to the ground.
