Deadly head-on crash shuts down D Street in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A deadly two-car crash forced the closure of D Street near the 15 Freeway Tuesday night.
The Victorville Fire Department and deputies with the Victorville Station were dispatched, along with AMR, to the 16300 block of D Street near Sherman Way at about 10:42 pm December 3, 2019.
Upon arrival, emergency crews located a white Chevy Colorado and a 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan in the westbound lanes of D Street with major damage sustained during the head-on crash.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene and CPR was in progress on the second person, according to nearby residents at the Iron Horse Mobile Home and RV Park.
This area of D Street is expected to remain closed for several hours while the Major Accident Investigation Team processes the scene.
