Damaging Santa Ana winds topple over semis on the 15 freeway

FONTANA, Calif. (VVNG.com) — Motorists traveling on the I-15 freeway through Fontana should expect delays as intense Santa Ana winds have toppled over between 4 – 7 big rigs.

California Highway Patrol Officers have kept very busy this Wednesday as they’ve responded to numerous incidents on the I-15 between Sierra Avenue and Glen Helen Parkway involving semis.

The 1-3 lanes on the SB-15 will be closed for an unknown amount of time as crews work to clean-up spilled fuel.

Traffic is reported to be backed up to Kenwood Avenue.

Victor Valley Transit Authority Route Alert:

  • VVTA Route 15 will be on detour until further notice due to an overturned Semi on the 15 Fwy near Sierra Ave.
  • VVTA Route 15 will travel the 210 Fwy East to the 215 Fwy North after departing Fontana Metrolink.

Additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
