Crash shuts down Highway 395 and knocks down power lines in Victorville

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) A stretch of Highway 395 is expected to remain closed for several hours following a crash Tuesday.
At 3:41 p.m., July 2, Victorville Fire Department responded to a head-on crash that involved a Peter-built semi truck and a black Mercedes SUV that occurred on Highway 395 and La Mesa Road.
Firefighters at the scene requested that officers shut down the roadway due to the charged power lines lying across the roadway.
A helicopter was requested to land on La Mesa Road between Cantina Drive and Highway 395, in a construction zone, to transport one victim from the crash.
Southern California Edison is expected to respond and repair the lines over the next several hours.
