Crash Causes Traffic Backup on Interstate 15 in Hesperia

HESPERIA, Calif. (VVNG.com) – A two-vehicle traffic collision on the 15 freeway resulted in one person reporting minor injuries Friday afternoon.

The incident took place at 2:11 p.m. on January 12, 2024, along the southbound lanes of Interstate 15, just north of U.S. Highway 395.

The collision led to the obstruction of the #1 lane, prompting the California Highway Patrol (CHP) to temporarily halt all traffic as the vehicles were cleared to the right shoulder of the freeway.

The congestion caused by the incident brought traffic to a standstill along this section of the 15 freeway for nearly 20 minutes as authorities conducted their investigation.

In another incident, at 2:38 p.m, a separate collision led to traffic congestion along Amargosa Road near Eucalyptus Street after a single-vehicle crash. As a result of this crash, one woman received on-site treatment for minor injuries.

Both crashes remain under investigation.
