Couple robbed at Mountain Vista Apartments in Victorville; man pistol whipped

VICTORVILLE, Calif. (VVNG.com) — A man and a woman were allegedly robbed by five black men inside the mail room of the Mountain Vista Apartments in Victorville.

Deputies responded to the apartment complex in the 15400 block of Nisqualli Road after receiving reports of an armed robbery on August 7, 2018.

At about 10:21 pm, the couple was picking up their mail when they were approached by the armed suspects.

According to the victim’s account, the male was pistol-whipped, beaten and had his phone stolen. The female victim was pushed to the ground and after a brief struggle, the suspects fled the location with her purse.

Sheriff’s Spokeswoman Mara Rodriguez told Victor Valley News, at least one of the suspects was armed with a handgun and all five suspects fled on foot through the complex.
