Couple Arrested With Stolen Car, Property in Highland

HIGHLAND, Calif:(VVNG.com)– A couple found to be in possession of a stolen car and property are behind bars.
Deputies from the Highland Sheriff’s Station were alerted that a stolen vehicle was in the area of Palm Avenue and 3rd Street by an Automated License Plate Reader (ALPR).
They searched the area and located the vehicle near Palm Avenue and 5th Street.
A traffic stop was conducted and Richard Meraz, 22, was found to be the driving the stolen vehicle. His girlfriend, 30-year-old Nicole Deltoral, was in the passenger seat.
During the investigation, property reported stolen from a vehicle burglary in Yucaipa last week was found in the vehicle. Meraz was arrested for possessing the stolen vehicle and the stolen property.
