Couple Arrested in Hesperia for Credit Card Fraud

HESPERIA, Calif: A Hesperia couple were arrested for fraudulent use of a stolen credit/debit card and racking up over $800 worth of purchases.
The incident was reported to authorities on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at approximately 12:47 p.m.
Sheriff’s Service Specialists Chambers and Moran responded to a report of fraudulent use of a credit card.
The victim reported that she used her card at a local restaurant the previous day and just noticed the clerk didn’t return the card to her. After checking her bank account, she found that numerous fraudulent charges had been made on her card.
Deputies made contact with the suspect 26-yea-old Kenyon Butler, at the restaurant reference the fraudulent charges.
A search was later conducted at the residence of Kenyon Butler and his wife 30-year-old Erica Haskins in reference to this investigation.
Deputies recovered over $800 worth of fraudulently purchased items to include electronics, kid’s toys, clothing and beauty supplies.
Suspects Kenyon Butler and Erica Haskins were arrested and booked at HDDC on charges of PC664/484g(a) – Attempt Fraud with a Credit Card and PC181(a)1- Conspiracy to Commit a Crime.
