County Fire Station 94 Receives New Fire Engine

LAKE ARROWHEAD: As a part of the San Bernardino County Fire Department’s on-going commitment to providing premier service and embracing modernization, County Fire Station 94 has taken delivery of a new fire engine.
The new Medic Engine 94 is 2013 KME 4-wheel drive type 1 engine with a 500 hp Cummins diesel motor and 6 speed automatic transmission. The engine has a1500 gallon per minute pump, a 500 gallon water tank and is pre-plumbed with class A foam. The engine of course comes with a full complement of fire hose along with tools, ladders and breathing apparatus (SCBA)
This new engine is well suited to our mountain environment as it is also a fully equipped paramedic unit and has a full complement of auto extrication equipment along with the tools and equipment to handle the all-risk nature of the mountains. Notably, water, swift-water and ice rescue along with capabilities for over the side rescues and other all–risk incidents.
“We are excited to be able to modernize our fleet and in turn provide better service to our community by providing our firefighters and paramedics the latest tools and equipment” says Division Chief, Kathleen Opliger.
The new Medic Engine 94 is located at 27470 N. Bay Rd. Lake Arrowhead, CA it is housed at Station 94 along with Brush Engine 94 and OES Engine 311 and serves all of Lake Arrowhead, Deer Lodge Park and surrounding areas.
